Women’s Legal Service Health Justice Partnerships link women experiencing domestic violence with legal help through hospitals.
|In partnership with Logan Hospital, Redland Hospital, QEII Jubilee Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Gold Coast and the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Women’s Legal Service operates a pilot program funded by the Federal Attorney-General’s Department to provide legal advice to clients who are:|
|Female patients, or female carers of children who are patients at a participating Hospital, and|
|Affected by domestic violence, and|
|Require legal advice about a family law, domestic violence or child protection matter.|
|Our Health Justice Solicitor is available to provide legal advice as well as some assistance with legal drafting and the preparation of legal documents. Appointments are available in person or via phone at the participating Hospitals (seek an appointment through the hospital social work department) or Women’s Legal Service’s Annerley offices.|
