Call Women’s Legal Service on 1800 957 957 and ask for an interpreter. State your name, phone number and the language you speak. We will organise this for you.

Provide us with your information online:

A Women’s Legal Service staff member will contact you with a female interpreter.

Duty Lawyer Services

Holland Park Magistrates Court - Wednesdays from 9am
Ipswich Magistrates Court - Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am
Caboolture Magistrates Court - Thursdays from 9am

Women’s Legal Service offers free duty lawyer services for women with domestic violence proceedings at the Holland Park, Ipswich and Caboolture Magistrates Courts.

The duty lawyer solicitors can assist with mentions for an application for a Domestic Violence Protection Order, including asking for Temporary Protection Orders, as well as variations of existing Domestic Violence Protection Orders. This may include providing advice, representing clients in Court and/or referral to Women’s Legal Service or other services for further advice.

Please note the type of assistance able to be offered by these services will vary depending on demand and the nature of individual cases.
